Born in Berlin, Stefanie Siering began as an art therapist working with people through art. A two year stay in Pennsylvania, USA, broadened this experience, where she has enthralled by printmaking and the experimental opportunities it offers.Workshops with Linda Schwarz introduced her to non-toxic printmaking and were seminal inspiring her creativity.
Siering’s work revolves around one key topic: people and people in movement. First captured in a multitude of sketches, the final motifs evolve through the use of different techniques: copperplate etching, woodblock prints or combined with collage.
In 2018, she completed a state-funded “Percent for Art” project for the THW Ludwigsburg and in 2019 she took part in “Linocut today”, an international competition and exhibition in Bietigheim-Bissingen near Stuttgart. Her artwork can be found at public site installations and in private collection.
